Organically grown and traditionally processed Pigeon Pea (Tur) is soaked in large vats and allowed to sprout. Then it is dried, stored, split and de-skinned in a mill.

Tur dal processed like this has about 3-4% of skin left, which adds texture to the cooked dal.

This will take slightly longer to cook than the conventional chemically processed dal.
